Nicolay joined Dayton Contemporary Dance Company (DCDC) in 2020 as a JB Fellow and was promoted to the first company in 2021. Since then, she has performed a wide range of works, including A ⅗ Proclamation 8/5/24 by Charles Anderson, Mental by Ray Mercer, and Call(ing) by Qarriane Blayr. She also had the honor of performing Paul Taylor’s Esplanade, restaged by Ruth Andrien, at both The Joyce Theater in New York City and the American Dance Festival. In addition to performing, Nicolay shares her artistry through teaching and choreography, most recently premiering Journey of the Six during the Dayton Dance Initiative’s 2024 season and teaching modern dance and Pilates in DCDC’s 2025 Summer Intensive Program. Guided by her passion for dance, Nicolay looks forward to continuing her journey as both a performer and an evolving artist.
