Fabio Tello Muñoz

Fabio Tello Muñoz (he/him) is a versatile international artist from Cuernavaca, Mexico. He joined Dayton Contemporary Dance Company in 2024, immediately after earning his BFA in Dance from George Mason University. Fabio has performed works by renowned choreographers including Kyle Abraham, Rafael Bonachela, Susan Shields, Rennie Harris, Ray Mercer, Amy Hall Garner, and Winifred R. Harris. During his first season with DCDC, he originated roles in several premieres, including Shadows From Before by Winifred R. Harris, Soon by Rennie Harris, Mental by Ray Mercer, and Splendor by Amy Hall Garner at the American Dance Festival in collaboration with Paul Taylor Dance Company. With DCDC, he has also appeared at The Joyce Theater in New York City and at national festivals such as the International Association of Blacks in Dance.

Prior to joining DCDC, Fabio trained at the prestigious Idyllwild Arts Academy in California before earning his BFA in Dance at George Mason University, where he performed works by world-class choreographers and apprenticed with California Dance Theater, Inland Pacific Ballet, and Fairfax Ballet.

As a teaching artist, Fabio has taught at Stivers Performing Arts School’s summer intensive, the DCDC Summer Intensive, and is the founder of Summer Dance & Fun in Cuernavaca, the first multidisciplinary performing arts intensive of its kind in Morelos, Mexico. Through this program, he has created opportunities for young artists to train in dance, music, acrobatics, and theater, furthering his commitment to community and artistic growth. Known for his passion, dedication, and artistic range, Fabio continues to expand his career while sharing his art with audiences worldwide.
