Aaron Frisby

Aaron Frisby began his professional career in 2020 and has since established himself as a dynamic and versatile artist. He has collaborated with esteemed choreographers including Ray Mercer, Rennie Harris, and Amy Hall-Garner. In 2024, Frisby reached a major milestone performing Talley Beatty’s iconic solo Mourner’s Bench, a work renowned for its cultural and historical impact on American dance. His training includes a two-year Theater Dance certificate from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City and two scholarship years at The Ailey School, where he performed with the Ailey Student Performance Group. There, he brought to life works by Alvin Ailey, Kirven Boyd, and Ronald K. Brown—experiences that honed his technique, artistic voice, and commitment to the transformative power of dance. This is Frisby’s 4th season with DDI.
